Tech Firms Say Iraq War Taking A Toll

Times are tough for many companies – no one denies that. However, when those companies come out with their earnings reports, they’re always looking for something to blame. Last year, lots of people blamed September 11th for poor earnings. This year, they have a new scapegoat: the war in Iraq is causing a decrease in sales. However, analysts are finally catching on that this might be a just a weak excuse for a company that isn’t performing. People are beginning to question how much the war in Iraq is really impacting local businesses. Apparently, next up on the list of things to blame: SARS.
