Smartphones Will Eat Wireless PDAs' Lunch
Welcome to the world of convergence. People are now predicting that smartphones will take away market share from wireless PDAs. This, of course, makes sense, since people would rather not be carrying around two completely separate devices. Of course, people have predicted this in the past as well, but it never came true because most of the converged devices did one thing well (phone or data) and the other thing terribly. However, the latest crop of devices are finally getting closer to the right balance. It probably won’t be long before there really isn’t a distinction any more.
