California Weighs Cell Users' Bill Of Rights

While a national cell phone users’ “Bill of Rights” has been introduced, California is pushing ahead with their own cell phone users’ bill of rights. In part, they’re hoping that if the California proposal goes through, it’ll make the national one easier to gain approval. The wireless carriers are protesting, of course, and claiming that regulation rules are supposed to be for big monopolistic land line companies and not their “competitive” market. Of course, that ignores the fact that the carrier cartel has an unofficial agreement to all lie to consumers and hide where their deadspots are. If it were really competitive, then carriers would offer these rights to consumers already.
