Wireless Internet Users Predicted To Grow

Since it’s been a little while since we posted a story spouting out mostly useless statistics about how quickly wireless growth was going to be, it seemed like now was a good time. Probe Research is telling us that wireless interent usage will grow 300% by 2007. Of course, I’m wondering how they define wireless internet usage? Is it wireless internet usage if you’re connecting with your laptop over WiFi? It appears, though, that they’re talking specifically about carrier specific systems. They seem to basically take current trends and extrapolate them out, saying that Asia will have a huge portion of the world’s wireless users, and one of the shifts to wireless data usage will happen when billing systems are in place that let prepaid users access data.
