Nextel Posts Fourth-Quarter Profit
The US wireless business isn’t only competitive, for most carriers it’s unprofitable. Of the major carriers only Verizon has shown repeated profits. But Nextel might be joining them as it posts its first annual profit. Nextel had a great 2002 with net income of $1.47 billion and 10.61 million subscribers.
