More Location Services For The U.S.
Moviso and Landmat have teamed to offer US carriers location based applications which should start rolling out next month. Carrier partners include Alltel, Cingular and T-Mobile. The applications range from real-estate listings to a dating service. What’s unclear is which location technology the applications use. None of these carriers has officially rolled out GPS or triangulation services yet. It sounds like the apps should work on existing WAP phone and use cell tower location or user input location.
