Sony, Ericsson To Invest In Mobile Phone Joint Venture

Apparently rumors of the demise of Sony Ericsson, the joint venture between (you knew it) Sony and Ericsson, were highly exaggerated. The two companies announced that they will invest another $162.4 million each into the venture. They’re hoping that the market is heating up, and that the venture will finally start to turn some profits. This seems like a good move. The new phones have been getting good reviews, and shutting the operation down now definitely wouldn’t have been giving it enough time to really sell its phones.
