Europe To Try Free Digital Downloads Again
from the nice-try,-but... dept
After calling their initial attempt a success, music producers in Europe are planning a second “free” music download day to promote their paid services. The idea is that users will realize that the pay-for music download services offer something of value beyond what users are likely to find on their P2P file-sharing networks. Of course, they’ll also discover that the officially supported sites come with all sorts of limitations concerning what you can actually do with the music you’ve legally downloaded. I’m not really sure that’s the best promotional move.
