FTC Targets Sites Selling Int'l Driver's Permits

The FTC, slowly, but surely, keeps going after spammers. Of course, they focus not on the spamming part of their business, but on how they’re making false claims about what they’re selling. Either way, it’s good to hear that the FTC has filed complaints against six people who operate either websites or email marketing campaigns to offer “international driver’s permits”. Of course, they’re (1) offering fake documents that even if they were real (2) don’t offer the benefits the sites and spam claim they do. It would be nice if more spammers realized that they can get into serious trouble for pitching bogus products.
