Good Technology Launches Hardware

Good Technology alread had software that competes with RIM’s Blackberry service. Now the company has officially launched the G100 email pager to compete with RIM’s hardware. The G100 operates on the same paging network as RIM’s original products. But the device includes software to read attachments, it can wirelessly sync PIM data with Exchange servers and can be set up remotely. Just as we’ve often criticized RIM for wanting to play on the hardware and software side, we’re thinking the same thing with Good. While beta testers gave the G100 good marks, we don’t see them in the hardware business in the long term.
