American Airlines Adopts Online Check-In

from the making-life-easier dept

In the wake of September 11th many airports started cutting back on things like self-service check-in kiosks. That didn’t last long. Now, things are getting even further from requiring another human to verify you are who you say you are as American Airlines is letting people check-in online from home before they even leave for the airport. You just go to the site, enter some info and print out your boarding pass at home. They say the security is taken care of at the security check-in where they’re required to check your boarding pass and your ID. If it keeps lines shorter, I’m all for it.
