Parents Needed To Keep Kids Safe Online
from the sounds-so-obvious dept
With the constant arguing back and forth over what laws need to be passed (or not passed) in order to keep kids safe online, it seems that the one element that is often ignored is what parents should be doing to keep their kids safe online. I’ve argued many times that this is the parents’ job, and not the governments. Larry Magid’s column points out that parents can’t even agree on what is appropriate for kids to be eating, so setting up a universal law for what kids can access online is pointless as well. It’s going to depend on the kids themselves, as well as their parents.
