Wireless Carriers Can Opt Out Of Auction
Verizon had a big win yesterday with the FCC’s decision to free them and other wireless carriers from their bids on the disputed Nextwave spectrum with out penalty. Verizon was the most vocal proponent of bid withdrawal. But its great new for the industry in general since all the bidders can now reallocate the auction money to other projects such as debt reduction and infrastracture improvements.
