Companies Fight Downturn With Tech

from the keep-on-working dept

Fitting in well with the story from earlier today about the optimism from the technology “gap” of companies that still need to upgrade their technology comes this news that some companies are using this downturn time to build up their technology infrastructure. They’re finding that it’s cheaper now than in the past, and it will position them to be much stronger than others when the economy picks up again. Of course, a lot of the focus is on the vastly overhyped area of web services. Just because there’s hype, though, doesn’t mean there isn’t some substance behind the hype.
