i-Mode Goes French

NTT DoCoMo continues their attempt to spread i-mode to every corner of the globe before people realize that it’s increasingly obsolete. Their latest effort will be to launch i-mode in France next Friday. So far, DoCoMo has had trouble signing up foreign users, and are said to be thinking about ditching the expansion efforts altogether. While it was revolutionary when it first launched in Japan, enough time has passed, and there’s been enough hype about “what’s coming soon”, that the i-mode model, by itself, isn’t enough to entice a ton of customers any more.
