Home Networking's New Push

from the connect-everything dept

Home automation has been the experimental field that plenty of geeks love to play around in – but some big players are pushing for home automation and home networking to go mainstream. However, there are a lot of people who need to be convinced for that to make sense. First, there are the home builders, some of whom are making sure that any new home comes equipped to be able to handle a home network. However, more importantly, there’s still the huge job of convincing the average consumer as to why they need this sort of thing. Is it really that improtant to be able to control your thermostat from a webpage? Not everyone thinks so.
