Exit Strategies
from the they-exist dept
I’ve always had an issue with the term “exit strategy” when applied to startup companies. I think it gives the wrong impression and encourages entrepeneurs to build to flip, rather than to build long-term, sustainable businesses. However, venture capitalists still talk about the exit strategies they need to recoup their money. While many VCs are publicly whining about the lack of exit strategies these days, quietly many are making deals. Slowly, but surely, more venture backed firms are making it through the IPO window, and many more are being sold – at prices where the VCs can at least recoup their investments.
