Who's Tapping Your Email?

from the spyware-at-work dept

A new spyware product will forward any email that you send or receive to someone else’s email account – even if you’re using a free web-based email service like YahooMail or Hotmail. Companies are thinking of using it in order to keep tabs on what their employees are doing on those free email services. However, some people point out that this might be an illegal wire tap, so any company looking to use it should talk to a lawyer first. Of course, I think any company thinking of using it should, perhaps, learn to trust their employees first – but maybe I’m asking for too much.
