European Operators Opening Up To MVNOs

A new study of the European MVNO market shows that of 12 operators interviewed 5 already have MVNO relationships and another 6 are considering it. Previously, mobile operators weren’t that interested in opening up their networks to potential competitors. The reason behind the change is that operators are realizing that MVNOs are becoming part of the landscape and they need to be open to this new form of wholesale revenue. In some cases MVNO’s can contribute close to 10% of an operator’s overall revenues.
