College Research Archives For The Digital Age

Wired has a good article about the issues facing colleges and universities (such as MIT) in putting together a system for digitally archiving much of the research that is going on there. There are issues with scalability and technology, but most of the issues concern getting faculty to actually use such systems. While the benefits of having such a system in place can be seen by most people, convincing the individual faculty members to make use of it, isn’t quite so simple.
