Sensors Everywhere: Welcome To The Mesh

from the coining-phrases dept

Forget the Matrix. Welcome to the Mesh. Small Times is running an interesting article talking about what a world will be like when we have truly pervasive computing in the form of sensors everywhere. They point out that it might sound creepy (they’re right about that), but in many ways, we’re already surrounded by the Mesh, and it hasn’t bothered us yet. I’m not sure that’s a valid argument – since just because something is already here, doesn’t mean that it’s acceptable. However, the article does make a number of interesting predictions for what a world of pervasive sensors would mean in your everyday life.
