ICANN Excludes The People It's Supposed To Represent
from the too-pesky dept
ICANN, continuing its trend of incredibly bad decisions, has now decided that it won’t let us “common folk” on the internet help decide who’s on the ICANN board any more. Apparently, we caused too much trouble by actually voting for people who might actually try to represent our interests. Instead, all ICANN board members will come from technical, business, government and non-profit organizations. For some bizarre reason, they say this will show that the group is “committed to reform”. Reform? How is it reform when they make things worse?

strictly speaking
…the word “reform” just means “to make into a different form” with no judgement on whether or not that new form is better or worse than the previous form.
