James Gleick is pretty famous for the books he’s written, and he recently came out with his latest, What Just Happened, which is a collection of his columns from the past decade. Gleick, of course, also founded an early ISP and is known for being opinionated. Salon has an interview with Gleick where he looks back and admits some of the mistakes he made in his predictions. He admits he was wrong in suggesting that AOL was going nowhere (a prediction I also made, and one I’m still not clear why it never came true). He also didn’t see much of a future for internet porn…
