New WISP Players

Wi-Fi is taking off in homes and offices, but there is still a dearth of public hotspots. Seperately, Toshiba and IBM are going to try and change all that. Next week at PC Expo in NYC, Toshiba is going to announce the details of Itsumo, it’s public hotspot initiative that will make it easy to install Toshiba branded hotspots that are connected to Toshiba’s hosting network. IBM is also working on a national Wi-Fi network which we suspect will be designed to support their enterprise clients.
