The Rise Of Online Charter Schools

from the makes-sense-for-some dept

I’ll admit that the idea of online charter schools didn’t appeal to me originally. I was afraid too much focus would be placed on the technology, and not enough on the actual education. However, I can see how they could be useful for some children. There are still plenty of issues that need to be worked out. The article details some of the problems that online charter schools in Pennsylvania have been facing. I would think that to get started it would make more sense to use them for supplemental educational programs – or educational programs in particular subjects – rather than as a complete answer to schooling.
