Sending People Paper Phones

from the interesting... dept

People have been talking about disposable phones for a couple of years now, and I’m not really sure if they’ll ever catch on in the way that some have predicted. However, in a gimmicky way, I could see them becoming a fad. For example, Sony awarded first prize in a competition to someone who has created the “PS, Call Me” paper phone. It looks like a letter, and can be set to call a single number. You can send it to someone in the mail, and they just push a button and it calls you. It can even be set to record the phone call for “important” messages (they suggest wedding proposals – though, I wonder who proposes through the mail anyway).
