Teen Charged With IM Harassment

from the no-more-IM-for-you dept

A Massachussetts teenager has apparently been charged with harassment for instant messaging six girls and their families. The kid is not allowed to use instant messaging unsupervised, or he may face criminal charges (this suit was civil). The article doesn’t detail exactly what happens, but does make it clear that the idiot kid continually bombarded these girls (and one of their mothers) with violent and sexually explicit messages. It does seem like a pretty clear cut case of harassment, but it is the first that has involved instant messaging.
