Joe Schmoe writes “Okay, this is nice to think about, but no doubt no one will know how to price it within reach… “ He’s talking about MIT’s Tech Review article about IPWireless’s plan to offer wireless broadband over 3G. I agree that pricing is almost definitely going to be a problem, but I’m also not entirely sure why IP Wireless’s device is necessary. I’m sure someone here can explain what I’m missing, but it seems to me that once carriers offer 3G service, they’ll be able to offer this directly without any need to use a system like IPWireless’s boxes.
