Disney Gets Into The VC Game

from the let-Mickey-invest-in-you dept

What a scary thought. Disney opened up a VC arm, called Steamboat Ventures, a year and a half ago. They finally made their first investment in a company called Gilian Technologies, which tries to prevent anyone from hacking your webserver. Corporate VC projects always interest me, because when the company starts to struggle, the VC arm usually gets dumped really quickly.
