Foot Pump For Your Laptop?

from the excercise-for-geeks! dept

Remember the hand crank to charge your mobile phone battery? Why stop there? Now you can get a foot pedal to charge your laptop battery (actually from the same company that makes one of the hand crank chargers). Five minutes of pumping gives you about 20 minutes of battery life. Not a great conversion, but certainly good enough if you need a bit of power and you’re stuck. I think, however, they’re missing a golden marketing opportunity. Not only is this good if you run out of battery power in the middle of nowhere, but it can also become the geek excercise routine! People are always complaining that geeks sitting in front of computers are out of shape. What if they had to sit there pumping up their batteries all day?
