Police At World Cup Take Lessons From Spider Man

from the caught-in-a-web dept

Police in Korea and Japan for this year’s World Cup will probably be using a net launching gun that will wrap up soccer hooligans in a nice little web. All this, just in time for the Spiderman movie. The best part, though, is that the article says they demonstrated the weapon against police “dressed as hooligans”. It’s good to see that it only works against people who are dressed as hooligans. Part of the reason, by the way, that they’re going to use such weapons is because they’re afraid that the more rowdy, larger, European style football hooligan will be too much of a match for the Japanese or Korean police.
