Who's Got A Dot-Name?

from the who-cares? dept

There were lots of articles yesterday about the coming of “dot name” registrations but does anyone care? It seems that there hasn’t been nearly as much speculative buying of .name domains – but that makes sense, since they’re expected to be for personal use, rather than businesses. It’s also interesting to see that the format for the domains will be firstname.lastname.name instead of just a single name.name. All I know is that I hope this means I stop getting spam from people telling me how they can help me get the .name of my dreams.
