The Nine Assassins Of Broadband
from the that-makes-me-the-tenth? dept
John Dvorak has his list of the nine “assassins” of broadband. Unfortunately, I didn’t make the list. I guess I’m the tenth assassin of broadband then. However, it is a good list that points out why broadband connections haven’t caught on nearly as quickly as many people expected. I do think he’s missing the “compelling reason” argument. There just aren’t too many applications online that are so compelling that they require broadband. Napster may have been one, but no one knows for sure how any of those music sharing services are going to play out.
