Skeptics Doubt Compression Claims

from the we're-not-crazy dept

Yesterday we were a bit skeptical about some of the claims of a company who said they had created an amazing new compression method. It seems we weren’t the only ones. Today a number of people have come forward to say that they don’t believe the claims of ZeoSync and these are people who are a hell of a lot more qualified to understand such things than I am. What’s really amusing is that a number of the scientists that ZeoSync names as having worked on the project say in the article that they barely have done any work (an hour or so) on the project and have not seen it in action. One has even requested that ZeoSync remove his name from any materials about this. Not exactly the type of support ZeoSync was probably expecting.
