.TV Sold For $45 Million

Oh well. I remember when .TV was supposed to be one of the shining examples of how Idealab could build a great company. Whenever people would trash Idealab’s staple of me-too plays, they would hold up .TV as something original that was bound to make billions of dollars. I guess that didn’t happen, as they’ve now sold out to Verisign for a mere $45 million. Anyone heard anything from New.net lately?
