The Benefits Of An Internet Connected Lifestyle
from the I-wish-I-knew dept
Don’t you just love “industry associations”? The “Internet Home Alliance” (read: companies that want to sell you stuff somehow relating to the internet) has decided that they need to better educate people on the “benefits of an internet lifestyle”. Now, I have no doubt about the benefits of an internet lifestyle, but the whole idea of needing to “educate” (okay, read: marketing) people about it seems absurd. These companies should spend more time figuring out how to make their products and services work better in a more user friendly way. I would think that they’d find a lot more people willing to live the internet lifestyle if people could get working, cheap, easy to set up and use broadband access to the home.
