Here Come The I-Told-You-So Books

from the who-cares? dept

It was only a matter before the “I told you so” books about the internet started showing up. This one is written by a guy who says he works for a famous Fortune 500 company (though he refuses to reveal which one) and talks about all the idiotic econsultants he dealt with. Since I enjoy debunking hype and consultant doublespeak, it sounds like it might be interesting. However, it sounds a bit too smug, based on the review. It’s easy to say after-the-fact how stupid everyone was. Where was this guy when it was all happening? Instead he rewrites history so that he appears smart. Anyway, the book is called When the Caffeine Wears Off: De-Hyping the New Economy and is probably about two years too late.
