No One Likes Paying For Content

from the well,-duh dept

Turns out the mindset of most internet users hasn’t changed. Most web surfers don’t want to pay for content, and web-only content players are going to suffer because of that. This is, of course, what most people have been saying for a very long time, but a lot of web properties still don’t believe it. If you want to make money off of web content, you need to figure out a different way to do so then assuming that your readers will pay for it. One method is syndication. The article seems to suggest (though, it doesn’t come right out and say it), that the web is still very useful for building a brand, that can then be leveraged in other mediums.
