Is Bankruptcy A Stigma For High Tech CEOs?

from the maybe,-maybe-not dept

Does declaring bankruptcy make you a bad CEO? There seems to be a mixed opinion on it. Obviously, the failed CEOs explain why it just shows that they’re “more experienced” or “battle tested” and ready for the next challenge. Others, however, point out that there’s really no way to turn a bankruptcy into a “winning” resume point. I think it depends on the situations, and what the CEO did in the situation. Was it already a mess when the CEO showed up? Did the CEO make obviously bad decisions? I think it can go either way.
