The Secret Of Google's Success

from the simpleness,-effectiveness,-and-proprietary-code dept

An article that tries to figure out the secret of Google’s success. It comes down to a few things: it’s simple and it works being the main two reasons. Then, there is also the ever important fact that they don’t annoy their users. This is the point I’ve been making since I started Techdirt. Companies that go out of the way to annoy their users (the record industry, sites using pop ups, etc.) are only asking for trouble. Google has always been careful to keep their users in mind, and people trust them because of that.
