Stupid Wingdings Conspiracy Nuts

from the stop-it-already dept

Okay, so people keep sending me that annoying “wingdings rumor” suggesting that somehow Microsoft knew about the WTC attack. This is perhaps the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard (not the least because it would have meant they planned it out ten years ago when they developed wingdings). However, Wired now has an article about the whole thing explaining why it’s stupid and why you should stop sending it to me. As a random test, type just about any string of letters and switch it to wingdings. You’ll be amazed at what you can “read” into them.
