A pretty good look at what last week’s events mean for the technology industry. Frivolous technology is now looking even more pointless than it did last month. Don’t expect many people to go rushing out to buy Aibo robotic dogs this holiday season. Cell phones, however, have become quite popular. Of course, this analysis might be a little pessimistic. I wonder how long people will really avoid technology toys, before the “cool” gadget attraction returns.
