We’ve spoken about Danger Research before (and again before), but now the “truth” is about to be revealed. After all this buildup (1) it had better be as cool as it sounds and (2) I’m still waiting for them to tell me they want me in their beta program. Seriously, though, it will be interesting to see how good the device really is. It sounds like a dream machine – but there have been plenty of “great ideas” in the past that never got very far in reality. It’s going to depend on the relationships they build with carriers – since the device is only going to be offered through carriers – and how those carriers market it. I could definitely see how the carriers would end up killing it because they don’t know what they have on their hands.
