Buy.com To Outpost.com: We're Still In Business!

from the ah,-corporate-fighting dept

It’s often amusing when companies get angry at each other. The latest is Buy.com being pissed off at Outpost.com for running an ad campaign on their website asking people if they were a “former” Egghead.com or Buy.com customer, and offering them a deal for free shipping. Buy.com is complaining that it makes it sound like they’re out of business – which they’re not. Maybe Buy.com should focus on making sure they can stay in business, rather than yelling at Outpost.com – which has had it’s own share of problems the past couple of months trying to stay in business. Soon, the ads will read, “Were you a former Egghead, Outpost, or Buy.com customer? Shop at Fry’s!”
