We’re still having enough problems getting 2.5G running, and 3G is still a distant dream for most places… and yet, the Japanese government is pushing forward on research for the fourth generation of wireless technology. They don’t expect anything to come of it until at least 2010. Based on the success of 3G offerings to meet deadlines, I wouldn’t hold your breath for anything to show up that soon either…
