The Register has an article pointing out the modern media’s obsession with giving the internet too much credit in one direction or the other. Either it’s the root of all evil, or it’s the savior of the world. It goes on to point out a number of these “the internet is evil” news articles that have been appearing recently. Of course, we’ve seen this all before, but it’s a nice little summary piece to remind you just how easy it is to write about the “evils” of the internet, which is certainly a more interesting story than “hey, this internet thing is a useful tool”.
