Innovation Comes During Recessions

Remember last week how Business Week was saying that due to the economic downturn we might be having an “innovation drought”? It would make more sense to think that a lack of capital would lead to increased innovation since companies need to be more creative about how they do things. Now, here’s an article from News.com that points out a number of large, well-known, long lasting tech firms started during economic downturns. It’s not exactly a scientific study, but it makes a good point.
