Okay, sure, a lot of dot coms have gone out of business, and many more will do so. However, the original predictions of only one out of twenty surviving, might be a little far-fetched. In fact, there are a few dot com etailers that look like they might be on track to make it through all this mess and turn into profitable businesses.
