Technology And Medicine
from the never-together dept
A quick look at the medical industry and the fact that they’ve mostly ignored opportunities to allow technology to make things better. Medical errors contributed a huge amount to deaths in the US (it’s third behind heart disease and cancer). Many of these mistakes, in theory, could be fixed with better technology. I definitely agree that something needs to be done, but I’m not convinced that some random technology is definitely going to help. I’d prefer to see some evidence of how it helps first.
