Forget The Ergonomic Keyboard
from the change-your-life dept
For all that talk about RSI and ergonomic keyboards, it turns out those funky split keyboards might not help at all. In fact, in some cases, they may make things worse. The best way to solve ergonomic problems associated with sitting in front of a computer all day is to… well… not sit in front of a computer all day.

Computer game players don’t get RSI and yet they play for hours. Doh! THey are generally younger and thus have faster bodily repair rates. I used to be an avid player of computer games 20 years ago, and also wrote 27 games which I sold. Didn’t get RSI. But I did get it whilst working 10 hours a day after 6 years. I don’t think I ever played computer games that intensively.
These articles really annoy me. I’ve had RSI since 1994, adn I work for myself, (so I don’t stand to benefit from defrauding my employer)
so don’t tell me it isn’t for real.
Nice picture in the article!
The best picture in that article shows a cat holding with a computer mouse with a caption saying, “cats can use mice too” — I wonder if that PawSense software works for that? 🙂
